Kimchi Fried Rice

Kimchi Fried RiceIngredients:• 1 pint of short grain rice
• 2 eggs
• 1 onion
• 8 oz beef
• ½ cup of sliced New York Napa Cabbage Kimchi
• 1 tsp of sesame oil
• 1 tbsp of soy sauceDirections:1. Cook rice in a rice cooker (brown or white).
2. Try to keep the rice not too wet.
3. Scramble/cook eggs in a separate pan and add onions.
4. Add beef and cook.
5. Add rice and rest of ingredients. -
Kimchi ChiliIngredients:• ½ lb ground pork
• ½ lb ground beef
• ½ cup of beans
• 1 tbsp minced garlic
• 1 onion (diced)
• 1½ tsp paprika
• 4 tbsp cayenne pepper
• 1 cup diced New York Cucumber Kimchi
• 2 tbsp tomato pasteDirections:1. Cook meat, drain and save liquid.
2. Use liquid to sweat garlic but don’t brown.
3. Sweat the onions until translucent.
4. Sweat tomato paste.
5. Add the rest of ingredients and cover with lid.
6. Cook at low heat for one hour. -
Braised Kimchi and Pork Belly
Stew (Kimchi Jjigae)Ingredients:• Quarts of beef stock
• 4 cups of New York Napa Cabbage Kimchi
• ½ lb of whole pork belly
• 4 tbsp of kochukaru (Korean chili pepper flakes)
• 4 tbsp of kochujang (Korean chili pepper paste)
• 8 cloves of garlic
• 4 tbsp of soy sauce
• 2 sliced onionsDirections:1. Sear all sides of pork belly until golden brown.
2. Do not cook further and crain/save liquid.
3. Sweat garlic in liquid.
4. Add onions and sweat.
5. Add rest of ingredients in a pot and cook in oven at low heat (250F) for 4 hours.
6. Take pork belly out carefully and let cool.
7. Slice and place back in stew.
8. Serve with a bowl of rice. -
Steak w/ New York Kimchi and Sun-dried Tomato SandwichIngredients:• Baguette
• 8 oz of your favorite cut of beef (we suggest flank)
• Chipotle mayo
• As much New York Napa Cabbage Kimchi as you’d like
• ¼ cup of sun-dried tomatoesDirections:1. Cook the steak to your desired doneness.
2. Thinly slice steak.
3. Drain oil from sun-dried tomatoes.
4. Drain liquid from New York Kimchi Slaw.
5. Toast the baguette.
6. Construct sandwich and enjoy. -
Kimchi Sloppy JoeIngredients:• 1 lb of ground beef
• ½ cup of diced New York Napa Cabbage Kimchi
• 4 minced garlic cloves
• 2 cans of plum tomatoes
• 1 tbsp dried oregano
• 2 tbsp tomato paste
• 1 diced onion
• 4 tbsp of worscestershire sauce
• ½ cup of ketchup
• 10 dashes of Tabasco sauce
• 4 tbsp of paprikaDirections:1. Cook beef, drain and save liquid.
2. Sweat garlic in liquid.
3. Add onions and sweat until translucent.
4. Add tomato paste, sweat.
5. Add tomato paste, and rest of ingredients.
6. Cook at low heat for approximately 40 minutes.
7. Drain kimchi liquid.
8. Add kimchi on top of sloppy joe and serve on a bun. -
Radish Kimchi and Bacon QuesadillaIngredients:• 4 flour tortillas
• 1 cup of grated cheese of your choice (we suggest pepperjack)
• ½ cup of New York Radish Kimchi
• 4 strips of bacon
• 2 tbsp of butterDirections:1. Cook Bacon to desired doneness.
2. Mince New York Radish Kimchi.
3. Cut bacon to smaller pieces (or leave whole if you wish).
4. Melt butter in sauté pan on low heat.
5. Place one tortilla in pan and evenly spread bacon, cheese and radish kimchi around tortilla.
6. Place other tortilla on top and once cheese begins to melt flip and brown other side of tortilla.
